Sports Report - U14 girls football vs Crispin School
Tonight U14 girls travelled to Crispin School for their 11 a side football match in the county cup.
The game started frantically as both sets of girls buzzed around rather aimlessly I think it excitement rather than ill discipline! After a deflection landed into P Taylor’s path, she expertly dribbled towards goal and calmly slotted in from close range to open the scoring. Crispin soon replied as a high Chilton line were outpaced and a hesitant A Scobie couldn’t stop a fine finish to make it 1-1. This settled Chilton as more of the ball carriers got on the ball and after a few chances G Knight lobbed the keeper with a delightful first time effort to make it 2-1. Chilton dominated the rest of the half as R Nash’s shot come pass was heading towards Taylor who flicked the ball brilliantly in the corner to make it 3-1 at half time.
The second half saw assistant manager D Yeoman make several rolling subs and Chilton’s defence were called on a bit more but began to play some lovely football from the back, led by C Lazowski, J Forsey and A Hewart who were all superb. A Scobie grew in confidence and commanded her box well also. E Tczacyk made it 4-1 as she cut back inside onto her right foot and bent a curling effort around a defender and into the bottom corner, just reward for her work rate in the game.
A really enjoyable fixture, the girls listened well and at times played some lovely football.
