On a wet and blustery evening the Year 11 boys travelled to play BCA in their first league fixture of the season. The team started well with T Luke and B Cooper having early shots at goal blocked, however a quick counter-attack saw BCA take the lead against the run of play. With A Attwood strong at the back and A Francis and A Sampson giving the team good width chances kept coming as twice B Cooper had shots well saved by the home keeper.
The 2nd half started with Chilton dominating possession as W Andrews, C Frost and J Salter took control of midfield. BCA defended brilliantly and once again Chilton were caught out by a quick counter attack as BCA doubled their lead. Chilton continued to push forward but couldn't find the finish or cross to trouble the home team. With time running out B Cooper scored a fine individual goal from the edge of the box as he shot high into the net. Despite their best efforts the boys couldn't find the equaliser as BCA ran out 2-1 winners.
The boys will be looking to bounce back when they entertain Court Fields in the county cup later this month.
