Sports Report - Year 9 Somerset Cup

The Year 9 Boys bowed out of the Somerset Cup losing 4-0 against a physically imposing and technically gifted Nailsea side. Nailsea dominated the first half but Chilton defended valiantly with A Attwood, A Francis and H Huett extremely busy. In midfield C Frost showed good composure whilst W Andrews and B Cooper worked tirelessly up front. Despite all there pressure Nailsea were unable to score before half-time.

The second half saw Chilton concede an early goal and from that moment Nailsea were able to relax and play some excellent football. H Huett and C Frost led by example throughout as Nailsea created chance after chance. A second goal from a corner sealed the game and two late goals earned the victory against a tired Chilton side.

The boys have had a good cup run and are back in league action against BCA next week knowing a win will seal their finals place.
