Sports Report - Yr 10 Football v Robert Blake

Tonight the year 10 footballers played their last  league match against Blake knowing that after the defeat to Haygrove that they would need to beat Blake and perhaps beat them by a lot of goals to pip BCA to finals day.

The game began well with Chilton much more aggressive in their hustling and in their challenges than in the previous game. This was epitomised by the bulldog Louis Rawles who broke up play beautifully and did the dirty stuff well for the team. It was one way traffic throughout the first half as the intensity was brilliant from the boys. The attacking group of Harvey, CJ, Leon, Datey and Lucas meant that the boys took two chances but missed a whole host and took a 2-0 score line into the break.

After the break it was all Chilton as the boys poured forward in search of goals. The boys were asked to pre-game to compose themselves in front of goal when about to shoot and to their credit they did eventually winning 11-0.

If I'm honest I couldn't keep up with the scorers but I know that CJ, Lucas, Dylan, Brooklyn, Dan, Leon, Louis, Harvey all scored at some point.

Man of the match could have been a few players but Louis Rawles wins it for listening to instructions and following them brilliantly in his first start this season.

A brilliant performance that now leaves them with a strong chance of reaching the final. BCA need to beat Haygrove and beat Blake by 8 to progress ahead of us (we think!).
