Pathways - Year 9 (KS3 to KS4)

During the Spring term, all Year 9 students will select their pathway choices and programmes of study for the transition into Key Stage 4 in Year 10. This process involves making decisions about which subjects to continue studying at the GCSE level over the next two years.

Students are required to study the core subjects: English Language and Literature, Maths, Science, and PE. In addition to these, they will have the opportunity to choose other subjects .

More detailed information will be provided in communications closer to the time when these choices need to be made.

Completing Pathways via personal email account

1. All parents and carers were sent an email on Thursday 6th March 2025 at 4pm. Please check your email address you gave to the school.

2. Click on the link and complete your child’s Pathways choices.

1. Access your MCAS app

2. Scroll to the bottom of your MCAS home page

3. Click on the tile Options

4. Complete your child’s Pathways choices.

If you continue to have difficulties accessing any of the above, please write down your child’s choices including their 1st and 2nd reserve choices and hand into their tutor.
