This assessment will give students an extract from a fiction text. Students will then be given questions testing comprehension, inference and analytical writing.
All of these skills have been developed in lessons since September.
When reading at home, ask someone to give you some questions testing your comprehension.
Look back in your English books to see your targets from the last piece of analytical writing you have completed – this is something you need to try to improve for this assessment.
