Welcome to Chilton Trinity School

Chilton Trinity School is proud to be a thriving 11-16 co-educational school serving the community of Bridgwater and the surrounding areas.

We are fortunate to belong to the Futura Learning Partnership, a family of 27 primary and secondary schools across the South-West. Being part of the Futura Learning Partnership provides us with huge scope and potential to impact positively on various aspects of school life, and the shared Futura Learning Partnership values of Respect, Opportunity, Collaboration and Aspiration underpin everything we do as a school community. We appreciate the respect and support Futura offers to each of its schools as they actively encourage each school to reflect and represent the individuality and identity of the local community it serves.

Framing Hamlet’s utterance within grief-stricken Elsinore we suspect words have become meaningless for the heartbroken Prince. Alternatively, is it the case that Hamlet wishes to withhold the revelation of any personal truth from the newly crowned king he suspects of killing his father. Here, we are quickly in the realms of what it is to study language and literature.

    History

No subject, country or society can be understood without its history. History provides the powerful narrative of human development, it offers structure and clarity about why the world is the way it is, why the institutions and ideas that shape our society have developed and who the people are that have both shaped it and been shaped by these forces. History is complex, challenging and engaging.? We take an active and critical role to developing historians.  We aim to develop students’ understanding of chronology, giving them a chance to gain a sense of historical eras, assessing what changes have taken place through time and identifying the factors that have influenced these changes.
